Bundle up for ten days of music and outdoor fun at Festival du Voyageur.

The Festival du Voyageur kicks off their annual winter festival this Friday at Voyageur Park, and various Voyageur Trading Posts throughout the city. Ten days and over 80 musical acts will be doing it all from jigging to DJing and the line-up is bursting with local talent.

Daniel ROA, who recently returned from a showcase at MIDEM in France, is on the bill along with seasoned touring acts like the Crooked Brothers and Oh My Darling, eclectic singer/songwriter marijosée, and new collaborative Indigenous rock project Indian City.

Some notable festival events include the first ever DJ Night featuring DJ Coop and DJ Hunnicutt, L’Auberge du Violon, a series of concerts that celebrate all things fiddle with fiddle champion Patti Lamoureux, and family favourites Fred Penner and Madame Diva will captivate audiences at the main festival site. Other acts include the bilingual folk-sould group Justin Lacroix Band, up-beat indie poppers Enjoy Your Pumas, garage-rock brothers Sons of York, and Red Moon Road who are set to release a new album next month.

Scroll down for the full festival line-up and maybe sign up for the Louis Riel Look-a-Like or Beard Growing contest while your at it...
