Scène Manitobaine Showcases Local Francophone Talent

Posted on

The local music scene is turning up the heat this weekend with a showcase of diverse, Francophone musicians at Le Garage on January 25. For the second Winnipeg edition of Scène Manitobaine, Manitoba Music has partnered again with Le 100 Nons to present folk duet Fire & Smoke, pop-folkster Guy Abraham, hip-hop artist/activists Namwira Folks, and free-style rapper Kasperzick.

Scène Manitobaine invites key local industry players as well as a Québec manager to bring attention to Manitoba's strong Francophone music community. The event also offers the artists a chance to get valuable feedback from experts and gain more showcasing experience.

Established in 1967, Le 100 Nons is a not-for-profit organization that has been working with and promoting Francophone artists and enabling French culture to flourish in the music industry. Le 100 Nons has hosted hundreds of concerts, workshops, and activities over the years thus sensitizing the population to the riches of the vibrant Franco-Manitoban culture.
