Meet Tim Jones, Pipe & Hat's Head, Label Relations & Artist Development, who will be on hand this Friday, February 21 for our ongoing Winter Mentor Meetings Sessions.

Jones is a co-founder of Canadian indie label and artist development firm, Pipe & Hat. Consisting of a past and present international roster of twenty acts, Pipe & Hat has launched artists into a steady path of success, including WCMA nominations, consistent national charting, collaboration with Grammy nominated producers, and showcases at SXSW, CMJ, Sled Island, Liverpool Sound City, Reeperbahn, NXNE, CMW, Pop Montreal, Halifax Pop Explosion, Folk Alliance International, and countless others. As well, Jones is an in-demand speaker, having been on panels and hosted workshops at conferences throughout the world, and regular contributor to Canadian Musician.

Through past projects, Jones has been involved with a multitude of music industry heavyweights such as Matt Costa, Metric, Xavier Rudd, The Cat Empire, and many others. A classically trained percussionist and established songwriter with an excellent ear, Jones recently added “Western Canadian Music Award nominee” to his credentials, having been nominated for a 2013 WCMA in the Manager of the Year category.

About the Winter Mentor Meetings
Manitoba Music offers exclusive, 30 minute mentor sessions with some of Manitoba's most experienced artists and music industry pros. This is a unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with local mentors, learn from their experiences, and to ask specific career questions.

Meetings are $15 each and open only to Manitoba Music members. To be considered, submit by email to training@manitobamusic.com the following:
