We're very happy to have Mighty Cypress Talent's Stu Anderson joining us this Wednesday, February 18 for our next DIY Series: Intro to the Music Business.

After several years on the industry side of music scene, including five years as a booking agenda with Paquin Artists Agency, Anderson founded Mighty Cypress Talent, a new full-service talent management  entertainment buying, and event production company this year. Stu’s current talent management focus is 2015 JUNO Award-nominated outfit, The Bros. Landreth.

About the Workshop
Drawing on topics from earlier DIY Series workshops, this session will provide a condensed intro to the fundamentals of the music business. With topics including bio writing, social media, college radio, touring, and rights management, this workshop will be an update and refresher for participants from this past fall’s DIY Series, and a chance for new participants to catch up and prepare for this season’s events.

The MusicWorks DIY Series is a stream of workshops offering emerging artists, music companies, and veterans looking to update their skills, the opportunity to learn music business fundamentals. The 2015 session kicks off with important topics that everyone needs to master including an intro to the music business, accounting/administration, strategic development, the new EPK, and creating a cohesive publicity strategy.
