Manitoba Acts Head to Victoria for BreakOut West

Manitoba acts are getting ready to take over Victoria this week as BreakOut West kicks off its 2015 festivities. Running September 17-20, the 13th annual event features a music festival, industry conference, and two awards shows, as well as plenty of opportunities for emerging Western Canadian artists and music companies, to make key connections and do some serious business. 

Local acts making the trek west to showcase include two of this year's Western Canadian Music Award (WCMA) nominees, Dee Erin Band and Ridley Bent, as well as a number of acts making waves on the national front. Scroll down for the schedule of Manitoba showcases at the BreakOut West Festival.

This year's WCMA hardware will be handed out at a gala event on September 20 at The McPherson Playhouse and an invite-only brunch for the industry awards the day before. Manitoba artists and industry earned 26 nominations in 17 categories for the celebration of music from the western provinces and territories. Read more about this year's nominees

BreakOut West presents an incredible opportunity for emerging and established artists to be a part of the Western Canadian music community. Participating artists and other music professionals have the chance to meet key industry stakeholders creating the opportunity for a new wave of exciting industry developments from record deals to international tours.
