Farewell to Donna Evans

It’s with sadness that we announce that Donna Evans will be leaving Manitoba Music at the end of this week to head up accounting and rentals for Prairie Theatre Exchange.

Donna joined our team in 2009. Over the years, she took on more and more responsibilities, including member services, coordinating the annual Manitoba Music Rocks Charity Bonspiel, producing our ongoing New Music Night and Open Mic series, and putting together many of our outreach activities. She's coordinated the extensive live music listings. She has also continued developing her skills in accounting and admin, undertaking financial and operational duties during her time with us.

Donna has greeted and shepherded so many of our members into the association, helping to connect them with the services they need to keep their careers moving forward. She has booked well over 100 emerging local acts on stage. She has helped to raise thousands of dollars for the Unison Benevolent Fund and Kevin Walters Memorial Fund. She's inputted thousands of concerts into our site and our app. She has streamlined many of our admin systems and always made sure the office was running at peak efficiency. Donna has been an invaluable and integral member of our team. Her dedication, foresight, organization, meticulousness, and perspective will be greatly missed.

We wish Donna the very best and look forward to seeing all the great work she’s going to do.
