About

Cole Moreau is the heart and soul of Prairie Lakes. A Winnipeg-born singer/songwriter who grew up along Manitoba’s shorelines, he draws creative inspiration from the natural beauty this part of the country offers in crafting his own songs.

Cole is a composer and thoughtful lyricist with a gift for introspective themes and commentary. His intimate performances and recordings showcase his soulful vocals, guitar work, and skills as an arranger, and his engaging fusion of folk, roots and rock has been embraced by a growing and faithful following of fans.

Cole has had his hand in musicial theatre as well, writing a full length folk musical for the Winnipeg Fringe festival last year. He has also just finished recording and mixing the soundtrack, along with many other home studio projects. With enduring influences including artists such as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Derek Trucks, Joel Plaskett and Bahamas, Cole has emerged as a prairie poet with a unique musical perspective.

Prairie Lakes is an eclectic and sometimes collective folk/roots/rock experience.
