Syd Bomek is an indie pop singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Canada. Her diverse and experimental sound captivates and delivers catchy melodies and layered meanings inspired by the good, bad, and everything in between.

Bomek shapes her real life experiences into songs that cut straight to the core to connect and relate with her listeners. She desires to bring meaning and purpose to her music with the emotion and passion that she carries in her day to day life, and she enhances the storylines in her songs, allowing her to become vulnerable and intimate with the lyrics that are poured into each piece. 

Syd was chosen for RBCXMUSIC's Featured Artists of 2023. This program puts a spotlight on emerging artists with a platform for exposure. This program brings out all 20 artists to Toronto for their artist summit which includes seminars, networking, and mentorship opportunities. 

The artist was also chosen by Conscious Economics and the ArtHaus Community as 1 out of 10 artists from all over Canada to be a part of the “Music for Social Change” program. This featured monthly mentoring workshops led by industry experts and icons, collaborative song-writing, and story-telling sessions. The program asks each artist to write a song about 'Social Change,' which will be recorded at Arthaus Studios in Toronto, and then the program arranges a culminating songwriting showcase in front of industry icons at the legendary venue, Massey Hall. 

Bomek is currently working on her DEBUT EP which will be released in early 2024.
