Stedfast was formed in 2005 by Eric Praetsch (lead vocals) and Derek Hokanson ( lead guitar). In 2010, after many different line-ups, the band was complete and included Eric Praetsch, Derek Hokanson, Marshall Roberts (bass), Dan Purpur (rythym guitar), and Gena Kutsyenko (drums). During the last 3 years Stedfast has played numerous shows in and around Winnipeg and developed a modest fan base. The band plays a Metal/Southern-Rock/Rock style music and has many influences, such as Led Zepplin, Alice in Chains, Judas Priest, Rush, Primus,Pantera/Down, Protest the Hero, Megadeth, and Tool. Unfortunately, in August 2011, Gena had to leave the band to study law in Vancouver. Stedfast is currently looking for an energenic, solid skin basher with an open mind and good timing. The band is hoping to record their first studio album this year and will continue playing as soon as a suitable replacement drummer is found.
