Stereobus Recording is Winnipeg’s longest running commercial recording facility. Now in it’s third phase of ownership, the studio was originally commissioned for Wayne Finucan Productions in 1976, became Channels Audio and Post Production in 1991 and now exists as Stereobus Recording and home to Producer/Engineer Paul Yee.

Our facility boasts a “westlake design” inspired construction of cedar and stone, overbuilt walls and ceilings, lead lined oak double sound lock doors for superior isolation room to room. Enter through the front door reception area or load in equipment through the ground level loading bay directly from our private 15 stall parking lot. The main 21x18 “A” control room is spacious and comfortable with couch seating and a huge triple pane glass window providing excellent sight lines into the 24x18 main tracking room that includes a cedar vocal booth with sliding glass doors. Additional isolation rooms with glass window sight lines include the brighter sounding 15x11 cedar strip room and the focused 17x15 “B” control room. Along with machine rooms A, and B are a fully complimented tech shop for instrument/recording equipment repairs, offices and assistant’s edit suite. Our lounge area has a recliner couch, large flat screen TV, Playstation and hi fi stereo system to entertain you between takes and a full kitchen with dual induction cooktops, dual convection ovens, coffee/espresso bar and stocked beverage refrigerator plus two restrooms.

We have an extensive collection of modern and vintage equipment to offer including many amplifiers, instruments etc.

With such a long history, our studio has been host to some greats along the way such as The Guess Who, Crash Test Dummies, Fred Penner (the Cat Came Back!!!!) all the way to Christina Aguilera. Even Dorothy Stratton worked here in 1980! The pedigree is endless. The Osmonds, Sesame Street, K-Tel.. On and On!
