Alternative rock group Stone Throw Second independently released debut album “All Cities Fall” summer 2011.
STS delivers melodic riff oriented rock with a throwback feel.
Produced by John Paul Peters (Death Cab for Cutie, Comeback Kid, The Waking Eyes), All Cities Fall was recorded at Private Ear Recording in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
STS excels in reaching their audience with their “four on the floor” rock grooves. Program director Casey Norman of Winnipeg’s CJKR Power 97 draws the comparison of “Foo Fighters to Van Halen.” STS’ first show was with Juno-award winning artist Greg Sczebel, since then sharing the stage with artists such as the Trews, Skillet, Kutless, Manic Drive, and Kiros.
STS recently completed a summer tour for their debut record that included dates from Illinois, U.S.A. through to western Canada. In June 2011, the group was crowned winners for CJKR Power 97’s River City Rocks competition that seeks out the best in independent music throughout Manitoba.
All Cities Fall is available online through CD Baby & iTunes. Singles December, Home, Ashes to Dust and Autumn Comes Early are in regular rotation on Winnipeg’s CJKR Power 97.5, CFEQ Ignite 107.1, CKMM Hot 103.1, Lloydminster’s CKLM the Goat 106.1 and Antogonish’s CFXU the Fox 93.3.
