Truly a staple in the Winnipeg hip hop scene and to this day continues to take things further as a trend setter and role model to up and coming artists. Since a young age, Tha Mic has been immersed in different music genres thanks to his father's record and cassette collection, and by the age of 19, producing and engineering in a local studio owned and operated by him and fellow musicians at the time. The studio was short lived but did not go without its notable career starts for local artist collective Heatbag Records and Sudanese Lost Boy turned solo hip hop recording artist, Hot Dogg, who have both gone on to be successful in their music ventures to this day. His discography, both production credit and as a recording artist, is quite lengthy due to his meticulous nature. He has worked with more established acts as well including, Hussein Fatal of the late 2pac's Outlaws and Bad Azz of Snoop Doggy Dogg's Dog Pound Gangsters or DPG. He is not a stranger to music industry contracts and big label situations, in 2006 Tha Mic was given another production credit for his music behind up and coming German group 'Grup Tekkan', who did not see much success; however their single 'Wo bist du mein Sonnenlicht' blew up landing them several TV spots which are available on YouTube.com. Tha Mic loves his music and strives for excellence in all his projects.
