The Young Pixels are husband/wife indie duo Daniel and Tricia Turner. Their sound is best described as refreshingly raw, simplistic rock and roll, as the two move equally between electric guitar, drums and vocals. Their songwriting is introspective and honest.
The Turners have been making music together since they met 5 years ago. They have recorded 3 albums at home and most recently recorded a 6-song EP with Mike Posthumus at this Garageland Studio in Brandon. They have been playing shows in Brandon and area for the last 4 years, and have recently begun to play Winnipeg venues, to very receptive crowds.
For the Pixels, music is a path of growth and sharing. They are happy and grateful to on that journey together, wherever it leads. The pair have put down roots in rural Manitoba, where they have an organic farm and are raising their 2 young sons.
