With wins at the Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards, Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, Native American Music Awards, and Indian Summer Music Awards, it’s safe to say that Dauphin, Manitoba’s Desiree Dorion knows how to craft quality country songs. Her latest release, entitled Small Town Stories, also earned Dorion nominations for the JUNO Awards and the Western Canadian Music Awards. The album features 10 songs that the mother of two put together with award-winning producer Arun Chaturvedi.
