This one-of-a-kind songwriting workshop opportunity with the celebrated singer-songwriter David Francey will offer both one-on-one songwriting consultations, and a group songwriting workshop. Individual sessions are available Monday afternoon - please contact Scott to schedule your session. The evening workshop will cover topics on technique and inspiration, from lyrics, to melody and harmony, to writing from outside your own experience. Stay tuned for more details.

About David: Since leaving construction and recording Torn Screen Door in 1999 Scottish-born Canadian, David Francey has been recognized as one of today’s finest singer-songwriters. Francey has released 8 CDs to date. His most recent is "Seaway" - a collaberation with Mike Ford of Moxy Fruvous fame with songs based on their voyage on the M.V. Algoville. Francey’s CD, Right of Passage, earned him his third JUNO (Canada’s top music award) in less than 5 years. Francey also had the honour of receiving the prestigious SOCAN Folk Music Award.

Full Registration: $30 members - includes a private one-on-one songwriting session plus the evening songwriting workshop.

Workshop Registration: $15 members, $35 non-members - evening workshop.
