About

As every successful artist has proven, the building blocks of success are connecting your band and your music with your fans. For most artists, this starts with playing your home town and then branching out to regional touring. In this workshop, Rob Zifarelli will discuss how he builds an artist's tour plan, starting regionally and branching out. Discussions will include proper routing techniques, picking promoters, and negotiating fees. He will provide advice on how he keeps connected with buyers and promoters, decides what fees to ask for in what markets, and builds regional tours that make sense. This workshop will provide invaluable insight for anyone booking their own tours, for artist managers developing a touring plan for their act, and for aspiring booking agents.

About Rob Zifarelli

Rob began his career in the musically-enriched, but extremely frigid city of Winnipeg in the early 90’s. He worked independently as an Agent and Manager prior to joining Paquin Entertainment in 1995 and joined The Agency Group in early 2004. In addition to his work in North America, Rob shares many of his clients with colleagues in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Malmo and personally books Australia, Japan, and Southeast Asia. He also holds a place on the management team as Vice President and helps survey the inner workings of the Toronto office.

About The Agency Group

One of the world’s leading booking agencies, home to 50 agents with a combined roster of over 1000 artists. The Agency Group represent a wide variety of genres including rock, metal, reggae, folk, R&B, hip-hop, classical, and children’s entertainment, and have literary, speakers, and events departments. They have offices located throughout the world – in London, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Malmo – allows The Agency Group to easily offer global representation to acts that seek it and book as many markets as possible.
