Manitoba Music presents three Friday afternoons of 30-minute mentor sessions with some of Manitoba's most experienced music industry professionals. This is a unique opportunity to meet one-on-one with local mentors, to talk and ask questions about your music career. Meetings are only open to Manitoba Music members.

About Michael P Falk | Friday, May 31

Michael is the frontman and leader of Les Jupes, owner of Head in the Sand, and a record producer. Les Jupes has toured North America and Europe multiple times since the release of its debut album Modern Myths. Head in the Sand is home to Vancouver's Rococode, Demetra, the first Royal Canoe record, Oldfolks Home and Iceland's Apparat Organ Quartet. Michael will be available to talk about the creative and business sides of the music business.

About Grant Paley | Friday, June 7

Grant is an artist and booking agent with Paquin Entertainment Group, where he represents such artists as Said the Whale, Delhi 2 Dublin, Chali 2na, the Funk Hunters, Old Man Luedecke, Rose Cousins, The Celtic Tenors, and Royal Canoe. His former band Moses Mayes has played over 400 shows across North America and has been recognized with two Western Canadian Music Awards. Grant will be available to talk about the logistics, techniques, and strategy behind booking shows and tours in Canada.

About Stephen Carroll | Friday, June 21

Named Manager of the Year at the 2012 Western Canadian Music Awards, Stephen is a member of The Weakerthans and has performed with the punk rock band Painted Thin, Greg Graffin, and Jim Bryson. With his company Empirical Artist Services, Carroll manages The Weakerthans, Jim Bryson and the Weakerthans, Imaginary Cities, and Paper Lions. Stephen will be available to talk about management and the creative side of the music business.
