About

Presented in partnership with the Songwriters Association of Canada, Songposium is an intense one-day seminar for developing songwriters and those interested in learning more about the art, craft, and business of songwriting. Learn from some of the foremost international talent in the music industry as they share their experience and knowledge and help you get your songs heard.

The day begins with songwriter Christopher Ward dissecting the “Anatomy of a Hit”, followed by acclaimed Nashville ‘songplugger’ Sherrill Blackman who will share his secrets to getting your songs heard by the right ears. Following lunch, QX104’s Program Director Janet Trecarten discusses how to get your songs on the radio. The day concludes with Sherrill Blackman and Janet Trecarten offering demo evaluations for Songposium participants.
