MARIA is pleased to offer a unique opportunity to spend two hours with Micheal McCarty, one of Canada's most experienced and accomplished music publishers. This boardroom session will allow you to ask specific questions and have conversations about things that you want to know about the current state of music publishing. Please join us and Michael McCarty for this casual and intimate workshop, where you set the agenda.



Michael McCarty is President of EMI Music Publishing Canada. He has spent 20 years in the music publishing business including 16 years with EMI. Active in the areas of talent development and song plugging, he has worked with such artists and songwriters as Sum 41, Three Days Grace, Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Esthero, Gavin Brown, Wilson Phillips, Matthew Good, Moka Only, David Usher, Sky, Kim Stockwood, Bob Rock, Ian Thornley, and Len. EMI Music Publishing Canada was named “Publisher of the Year” eight of the last ten years by music industry ballot.



This workshop is free to members but a very limited number of spaces are available.
