This workshop will outline what it takes to promote a new release and how to undertake a national media and publicity campaign. Ken will discuss how to be your own publicist, when you know you need to hire a publicist, and what they can do for an artist. We will focus specifically on the way that online and digital media have changed the way publicists work.



The workshop will cover in detail:

- What A Publicist Does

- How to Set up a Publicity Campaign

- Developing Media Relationships

- Accessing Digital and Online Media

- Setting up a Website to Deliver Publicity Tools

- Case Studies of Successful Campaigns
