Beatox (Adam Fainman) is a beatboxer, lyricist, rapper, and producer from Toronto, currently residing in Winnipeg. Described as a mix of hiphop, jazz, and funk, the music has a chill vibe that still makes you want to get on your feet, sing along and dance. Beatox is currently working on various projects including an upcoming album "Beatox Experiment" releasing throughout 2021.
Beatox’s adaptive sound has brought him front of a variety of audiences, including the Slovenia's Lent Festival and Jazz MaMlade, Croatia's Jazzica Festival, Winnipeg New Music Festival presented by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Winnipeg's Nu Sounds Series, the International Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Winnipeg Fringe Festival, Shine On Festival, Canada Day at Black Rabbit and Culture Days at the Forks, and more...
He has worked with countless musicians and artists from around the world and received his Masters in Music Technology from University and the Globalink Research Award for his work in beatboxing production. He also has a degree in Digital Media and Design from Red River College and a BSc in Applied Computer Science from University of Winnipeg. He recently released an album "A Musical Mind" showcasing his wide range of audio/video abilities and various techniques for beatboxing exploring genres including folk (with his mom, Rachel Kane), jazz, electronic, hip-hop.
