About
It was at the young age of 21 when the Sarnia-born singer, songwriter & guitarist began his music career as the frontman for the band, Max Webster. During the late 70’s and early 80’s, the musically eclectic rockers released such chart-toppers as “Hangover”, “High Class in Borrowed Shoes”, “Diamonds Diamonds”, “Paradise Skies” and “Blue River Liquor Shine”.
In 1982, Mitchell left the group to pursue a solo career and immediately battled out hit after hit including “Go For Soda”, “All We Are”, “Patio Lanterns”, “Easy to Tame”, “Rock N Roll Duty”, “Rocklandwonderland” and “I Am A Wild Party”. His 1984 album, Akimbo Alogo went on to be certified Platinum in Canada while his 1986 album, Shakin’ Like A Human Being achieved Triple Platinum status.
In addition to earning three Juno Awards, Mitchell has also been recognized by SOCAN with the National Achievement Award for outstanding success in the Canadian music industry.
