About

Saturday, April 29 Final Closing Day of “A Place Between – A 60’s Scoop Arts Project” at 3pm

To mark the end of this amazing event, Urban will close the project with prayers by our wonderful and helpful Elders, and artist talks by Scott Benesiinaabandan and George Littlechild. Also a return musical guest, Billy Joe Green will be here live and unplugged (in case you didn't see his amazing blues guitar stylings on opening night...don't miss this!!). Refreshements will be served.

We thank all who have shared their stories and contributed to this project. We wish you all strength and the courage on your journeys.

Musical Guest:
Billy Joe Green, Osawi Kinew (Brown Eagle) of the Mahkwa Cotem (Bear Clan) is from the Anishnaabe Aki-ing Territory. His childhood was spent living idyllically with his family in the Lake of the Woods area listening to his father and uncles playing country blue standards, until he was sent to residential school. It was during this time he discovered his natural talent and ability to play guitar, he found solace and comfort in playing music, to escape the residential school turmoil. Green in a JUNO nominated musician currently residing in Winnipeg.
