One of Winnipeg's favourite DJs, Mama Cutsworth, has collaborated with Felipe Ortiz and Daniel Orrantia—both improvisers and circus performers from Colombia—to bring you SPEECHLESS: a beautiful, surreal, long-form improvised theatre piece.

Since the trio's formation in 2013, they have performed SPEECHLESS in front of thousands of people in more than 15 countries, spanning Europe, South America and the Middle East. Most recently, they have toured to Austria, France, Germany, Holland, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates.

The magic of this project comes from one key element: no words are used. Instead, the body and music are the true focus, allowing anyone in the world to be captivated by their intertwining stories. Elements of Buster Keaton's physicality or the magical realism of Gabriel García Márquez are wrapped inside rich musical soundscapes. Based on physical theatre, clown techniques and film scores, SPEECHLESS lives at the intersection of familiar and surreal.

SPEECHLESS first came to Canada for the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival in 2014, garnering excellent reviews from both the Winnipeg Free Press (4 Stars) and the CBC ("Captivating!" 5 Stars). Their return to the prairies this June has been a much-anticipated one.
