Bachstreet's Bach, Alright?! is an ensemble which began as an acorn of musical friendship. The acorn was watered with laughter and struggle and in time grew into a tree. And the tree of musical friendship bore fruit. This fruit is our delight in musicking, playfulness, and unwarranted pretentiousness. Bachstreet’s Bach, Alright?!?! (BSBA) tinkers with different genres and contexts, flitting between irreverence, farce, deep love and also resentment of the Western Art/Classical music tradition. Through creative and irreverent musical antics BSBA loosens the constricting norms of Western Art music, freeing performer and listener alike to remember the joyful, unifying nature of music.
