Michael Johnston is one of Canada’s best-loved musicians: an enthusiastic collaborator, performer, teacher and former Winnipeger. Mercury Prize Nominee King Creosote - based in the fishing village of Crail, Scotland - is one of the UK’s most distinctive and influential voices. Despite the trans-Atlantic distance that separates their homes, Michael Johnston and King Creosote are celebrating a decade of making music together. The Bound Of The Red Deer, their 2016 debut release, “hits the dusky, contemplative sweet spot...” (Huffington Post) and has been described as “richly ambient and elegaic” by the Montreal Gazette. 
Their first-ever Winnipeg show, following their Canadian festival debut at Trout Forest a few days before - will feature an opening set and collaborations with Winnipeg’s Leaf Rapids.
