5'11", 140 lbs, and eyes like his father; meet Katlin Mathison - otherwise known as Okay Mann. Katlin upholds the indie folk tradition of the rolling stone. 4 years of session work, relentless travel, and a mentorship with Paul McCartney, and a gold single in Norway have eventually led him back to the harsh winters of Manitoba, Canada. Armed with a new moniker and a suitcase of songs born of a Winnipeg winter, Mathison returned to the cobblestone streets of Liverpool, UK in early 2017 to record his debut release, 'Little Mersey'. The EP, recorded to magnetic tape, is hard to place both historically and sonically. Listen for honest music that worships the hook, but keeps thoughtful lyrics front and centre.
Slow Leaves calls to mind a 1970s California country-folk record newly discovered in your parent's attic. Known for his easy delivery of sincere, poetic lyrics and lilting melodies, Slow Leaves is the project of JUNO Master Class songwriter Grant Davidson whose songs linger in the timeless spaces where heart and humility endure. With his new album Enough About Me, Slow Leaves continues to spare nothing in creating vivid images and heartfelt connections — the culmination of where he’s been and where he’s going.
