The programme includes Bax’s Violin Sonata No. 2, Bolcom’s Duo Fantasy, Mackey’s Elegie and Fantasy and Villa‑Lobos’ Sonata Fantasia No. 2. After meeting at the Eastman School of Music, the duo—named after Mozart’s Sonata K. 526, the first piece they honed together—has shared its unique interpretations of the repertoire for piano and violin during residencies at the Banff Centre and recitals in North America, Europe and Japan.
