About

Gary has been singing for as long as he can remember, but never picked up a guitar until he was 23. He started playing at prayer meetings and church, and did this for many years. He started writing songs, but set them aside for a long time. Gradually there grew a longing to do something more, and he stopped doing music in church.

An outreach to bikers, formed by House of The Risen Son Ministries, was his first outside experience, and he loved it. It was just the beginning. Later he became worship leader with a full band for the alternative evening service for the bikers and street people. After two years he had to step down because of family needs.

Gary became involved in the secular music scene, began learning new songs and writing new songs. Played at various places, at open mics and all the while loving it more and more. Produce a cd of his one material in 2005 on his home computer. Received encouragement from friends to keep going. Plays now for friends' gatherings, house concerts, festivals, cafes and open mic's.

Musical influences are many and varied. From Nitty Gritty Dirt Band ( Gary's favorite band of all time), and Bob Dylan, to the Jewish melodies in church. Other influences include Cat Stevens, Moody Blues, Eric Clapton, CCR, Al Stewart, Neil Young, Simon and Garfunkle and the Eagles. His original music is a unique blend.
