There are four major elements to the day. Starting at 9:30 am at the Cathedral dock on the banks of the Red
River, there will be a historical re-enactment of the arrival of Bishop Provencher to the Red River settlement.
A solemn (outdoor) mass presided by Cardinal Gérald Cyprien Lacroix will follow at 11:00 am.

Following the mass and commencing at 1:00 pm, a full afternoon of family and cultural programming will be
presented for all to enjoy. This includes: choirs, cultural dance troupes, children’s games, musical
performances, an historical encampment, food trucks, a beer garden, a University of Saint-Boniface alumni
concert and a variety of other programming for all ages.

The evening programming starts at 7:30 pm and will include a live outdoor concert Merci - Megwetch for

Archbishop LeGatt declares, “We invite all Catholics of Manitoba, our sister Christian churches, friends of all
faiths and spiritualties, and indeed all members of the community to join in the celebrations on July 15, 2018
as we seek the path of reconciliation, peace and friendship.”
