Health & Safety Guidelines for Manitoba Music Projects & Events

Manitoba Music is excited for the return to live music and in-person programming. We remain committed to keeping our team, everyone involved in our projects, their families, and the public as safe as possible, and protecting the long-term sustainability of the music industry. We’ve taken a gradual and cautious approach to updating our policies and appreciate our community’s understanding and support.

We encourage everyone to follow public health recommendations in order to decrease the risk of serious complications related to COVID-19, including getting double vaccinated with a booster if you are eligible and able, wearing high quality masks, and staying home when experiencing cold or flu symptoms. We recognize that vaccinations and proper mask usage are critical to a permanent return to live music for our local and global communities. Effective April 15, Proof of vaccination will not be required for our events and projects, unless required by a venue or partner. Participants may be asked for proof of vaccination or proof of a negative rapid antigen test for specific events.

Our team will continue to wear masks at our events and in our office, and we will follow any health and safety requirements of venues and spaces where we hold events.

We will not tolerate anyone who insults, harasses, or otherwise interferes with others on the basis of vaccination status, mask use, or a similar matter.

This policy may be updated as public health recommendations change.
