Monika Wall is taking her chamber pop and vintage cabaret stylings to the West End Cultural Centre for an evening of music and art. The singer/songwriter is set to release her debut album, Parallel Mondo, on September 22 with a little help from opening act Red Moon Road. Digital artist Justin Currie will be creating live "shattered glass" images during the show, which also features trumpet player Richard Gillis, multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Alexiuk, bassist Karl Kohut, and drummer Jaime Carassco. On the horizon, Wall will teach a free singing workshop on "how to find your voice" at Gurevich Gallery on September 29 for Nuit Blanche, and then head to the Virden Auditorium Theatre on October 13 for Manitoba Showcase Contact 2012.
