Leonard Sumner
"Best of Me"

From the album Rez Poetry

Featured track, available from August 15 to August 23

Aboriginal Music Week is joining in the August fun in 2013 after spending its first four years in November. The fifth annual festivities kick off on August 16 with nearly a dozen events, including many free options. Singer/songwriter Leonard Sumner is performing at one such free event: the Spence Neighbourhood Block Party on August 18, along with the C-Weed Band, Kim Erickson, and more. You'll also be able to catch his signature folk/country/hip hop sounds on August 22 for Derek Miller's Guilt Free Zone and at the Anola Little Music Festival on August 24. On the horizon, Sumner will be the featured artist in the pilot episode of APTN's new music series, Nagamowin (The Song) in 2014. Meanwhile, his new album Rez Poetry is out and we've got one of the tracks, "Best of Me", for your listening pleasure. Download it and catch Sumner live this summer!
