ATLAAS
"Love Song"

From the album Unreleased

Featured track, available from March 27 to April 4

ATLAAS wants to sing you a love song. The new indie electronic pop duo -- featuring former Oldfolks Home front man Ricardo Lopez-Aguilar and Heather Thomas -- turned heads at the Big Fun Festival in January and is now ready to introduce itself to some more music friends at JUNOfest. Part of The 2014 JUNO Awards festivities, the two-night music festival will host performances by over 100 bands in various Winnipeg venues, March 28-29. If you happened by Osborne coffee haunt Little Sister on March 15, you might've caught the band's Random Act of JUNO. Singled out as one of the five can't-miss bands at JUNOfest by Toronto's Aesthetic Magazine, ATLAAS will kick off a stellar showcase of local talent on Saturday at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre (dubbed "Manitoba House" during JUNO Week). The show also includes sets from JUNO-winning soul/pop outfit Chic Gamine, indie pop/rockers Les Jupes, folk-infused pop act The Treble, and funk collective Moses Mayes. Post-JUNOS, the duo plans to work on a recording in the spring (whenever spring is) and you can look for them on festival stages this summer, including August's Rainbow Trout Music Festival.
