Grab your party hats because Surprise Party has a new album plus a bunch of upcoming live dates. The rock outfit, which refers to itself as "soundtrack to your drunken youth", released new cassette Heart of Love on June 4 before heading to the Gimli Motorsports Park for Real Love Summer Fest with many handfuls of over local acts. Next up, the band hits the road for an eastern Canadian tour on June 25, returns the hometown stage for its vinyl release party on July 18 at The Handsome Daughter, and then heads out in August to the Rainbow Trout Music Festival. So... we're going to spoil the surprise, in a good way, with this week's free download of Surprise Party's new tune, "It's Okay". Put it on your device and go see the band live.
