Yes We Mystic
"Wood Wheel"

From the album Vestige

Featured track, available from May 14 to May 22

The mystery was revealed. Those posters blanketing Winnipeg of a ghostly man in sepia? It was Yes We Mystic's latest and the cover of new EP, Vestige. (The sneaky campaign caused a bit of stir.) Fans have been waiting patiently since 2013 for the string-laden indie outfit to follow up its acclaimed debut, Floods and Fires. Vestige, a self-released 7" co-produced by John Paul Peters (Royal Canoe, Imaginary Cities) and band member Adam Fur, will get them through until the release of the band's full-length, which is slated for 2016 and to be produced by Jace Lasek (Besnard Lakes, Patrick Watson, Wolf Parade). The media is definitely taking note, including recent nods from Exclaim!, Winnipeg Free Press, VUE Weekly, Confront MagazineBeatroute, MyToba, and Metro. The band closes out a Western Canadian tour with the hometown release party for Vestige at The Park Theatre on May 16, with openers Adam Hanney & Co. and IANSUCKS. Next month, the crew packs up its synths and strings and heads to Montreal to record the new album. To keep your ears busy in the meantime, we've got new tune "Wood Wheel" as this week's featured download. Grab it, read up on the band, give our Loft Sessions' live video for "The Contest of Strength" a play, and don't miss Yes We Mystic live.
