Get your ears ready because Lindsey White is ready to unleash. The groovy folk rock singer/songwriter celebrates the launch her long-awaited new project, Renegade, which is both an album of new music and book of poetry and prose. The fan-funded album, produced by award-winning drummer/composer Mitch Dorge along with bassist Alasdair Dunlop and guitarist Joe Curtis, gets its release party at the West End Cultural Centre on May 28. Cat Jahnke and Michaela Loewen will open the show. A Winnipeg Arts Council Award nominee for "making a mark" in part because of her mentoring work with creative youth, White made headlines earlier this year with a spot on CBC Manitoba's Future 40.
