Scott Nolan is having a busy summer. The acclaimed singer/songwriter is ready to hit the Brandon Folk, Music & Art Festival July 22-24, makes a stop at Onanole's Poor Michael's Bookshop on Aug 13, and closes out the summer at Harvest Moon Festival Sep 16-18 in Clearwater. He's already taken the stage opening for country legend Marty Stuart in Peguis, help kick off the WECC's Music Notes & Lunch Totes series, and play the Canada Day at The Forks with fellow songwriter and collaborator, William Prince. The shows come on the heels of the release of Nolan's latest recording, Silverhill, on Winnipeg-based label Transistor 66. The album has earned solid attenion, including nods from Blurt, Beatroute, and Metro, as well as spots on the national !earshot charts and four and a half out of five stars from the Winnipeg Free Press. To help keep you in the summer music fest mood, we've got Nolan's tune "Fire Up" for you as this week's featured track.
