IsKwé is closing out a busy summer of music, including dates in Europe and the UK, and gearing up for an even busier fall. The acclaimed artist, heralded as "10 Artists to Watch in 2016" by CBC Music, is fresh from the release of her latest single, "Sometimes", which was premiered by Exclaim. Blending her Irish and Cree/Dene roots with hip hop breakbeats, left-field R&B, and traces of piano pop, IsKwé has been building a lot of buzz, including a Western Canadian Music Award nod in 2014, a regional finalist spot on CBC Searchlight competition, and a profile in the Manitoba Fresh spotlight. "Sometimes" follows up the singer/songwriter's blistering tune "Nobody Knows" -- produced by JUNO Award nominees, The Darcys -- which earned media attention and is the focus track for the second season of the CityTV/Netflix series, Between. With a sophomore full-length on the horizon, IsKwé is in the midst of a Canadian tour which will bring her to The Good Will on August 25, along with FINN and À La Mode.
