Royal Canoe
"Kasparov"

From the album CO-OP Mode

Featured track, available from June 24 to July 1

It was never meant to be played live, and yet here it comes... CO-OP Mode, Royal Canoe's debut album, gets its official release early next month with a live show. Made up of front man Matt Peters (The Waking Eyes) with The Liptonians' Bucky Driedger and Matt Schellenberg, Jicah's Jeff Bruce, and fellow Waking Eye, Joey Penner, the indie pop outfit has built a solid buzz in the last year. They've hit stages with The Most Serene Republic, Bend Sinister, and Young Galaxy, popped up in Toronto a few times, and joined the expanding Head in the Sand family that already includes Courier News, The Liptonians, and more. Royal Canoe will take the show on the road for a cross-Canada tour in July. Before they do, catch them live at the West End Cultural Centre on July 3 with opening act Library Voices. While you're waiting, download "Kasparov" from CO-OP Mode, free from The Loudspeaker until July 1.
