Jazz pianist and composer Michelle Grégoire is getting ready to launch her sophomore effort, Diversity. The nine-song, self-produced CD features eight originals and a stellar line-up of musicians, including Juno-winning saxophonist Kirk MacDonald, National Jazz Awards trumpeter of the year Kevin Turcotte, and Toronto-based rhythm section Jim Vivian and Ted Warren on bass and drums.  Grégoire takes over The Park Theatre for her CD release party on November 4, with special guest saxophonist Jimmy Greene, as well as Winnipeg all-stars Chuck McClelland, Dave Lawton, Rob Siwik, and Luke Sellick. On the horizon, Grégoire will premiere new commissioned music with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra on December 12 at the Winnipeg Art Gallery.
