Ruth Moody
"We Can Only Listen"

From the album The Garden

Featured track, available from December 2 to December 9

Ruth Moody is warming up the Winnipeg winter with the hometown launch of her solo CD, The Garden. The singer/songwriter, who is one third of Juno-winning trio The Wailin' Jennys, ends her cross-Canada tour at the West End Cultural Centre on December 9 with special guests JP Hoe, Royal Canoe's Matt Peters, brother Richard Moody, her sisters Jane and Rachel, and The Duhks' Jordan McConnell. CBC will also be on hand to record the concert for Canada Live. Moody will head back on the road for a slew of American dates with The Jennys, who release their new studio album in February. Her song, "We Can Only Listen," co-written with Matt Peters during Manitoba Music and the Songwriters Association of Canada's SongWorks project, is our featured download in The Loudspeaker this week. Download the track, head to the CD release, and look for new music from The Jennys in 2011.
