Empty Standards
"Rollin"

From the album The Empty Standards EP

Featured track, available from January 20 to January 27

Venerable local music venue Times Change(d) High & Lonesome Club is celebrating its 10th birthday with a four-night party. The festivities kick off on Thursday with Times favourites, The Perpetrators, Andrina Turenne, and The Duhk's Sarah Dugas. Friday has the Empty Standards and Righteous Ike on the stage, and on Saturday, you can catch Del Barber, Chris Carmichael, and Damon Mitchell doing a reprise of the popular Neilfest show. Head down on Sunday for a special, and final, edition of the Whisky Awards with Big Dave McLean, Andrew Neville and the Poor Choices, and more special guests.

We've got the Empty Standards' track, "Rollin," for you in The Loudspeaker this week as a little birthday present. The roots rockers are currently working on their debut full-length album with Lenny Milne at Bedside Studios. Be looking for the new release this May followed by a Canada-wide tour. Meanwhile, download the song and head to Times on January 21 to help them celebrate. We're hoping there's a cake shaped like a rubber chicken, too...
