Eric St. Godard
Jazz

About
Eric St. Godard is a pianist, composer and educator from Winnipeg who is looking to make a splash in the Canadian music scene.
Although classically trained, he feels most at home in the world of jazz. Eric graduated from the Brandon University School of Music, where he studied under the prominent pianists Micheal Cain and Jeff Presslaff.
His approach to the instrument and improvisational style is strongly influenced by the likes of Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Keith Jarrett, and Herbie Hancock— just to name a few. Ultimately, he strives to reach forward and backward in the lineage of jazz to create an engaging and original presence in the music.
In addition to performing, Eric has a growing private studio of students, ranging from 4 years old to adults. He also is an instructor at the Manitoba Conservatory of Music & Arts in Winnipeg, MB as a part-time Jazz, Classical and General piano instructor.
Released in the summer of 2021, Eric’s debut EP Perspectives is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other streaming platforms for downloads. His next EP Look Here will be released in May of 2022 and will be available on all streaming platforms.
