About

With a sound that blends the african vibe of Angélique Kidjo with the soulful serenity of Yuna and the innovative sound of Stromae, Kelly's new record Belles âmes is set to be uniquely interesting. Signed to Odd Doll Records, a women owned label from the manitbans prairies, she has have been writing with incredible people like Chris Burke Gaffney (Chantal Kreviatzuck, Natalie Portman), Brian West (Nelly Furtado, K'NAAN, Sia, Maroon 5, Awolnation), Andy stochansky ( who wrote "The Best" (feat Dragonette) - first worldwide single for Lenno (Casablanca / Universal),  "Beautifully Crazy"- first single for JP Hoe (Maple Music/Universal), "Northern Lights" a song chosen for the Twilight Breaking Dawn (film / soundtrack) performed by Cider Sky) and Chin Injeti ( Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Drake, Clipse, Eminem and P!nk...). Her French record Belles âmes is her comeback after 3 years of maternity leave! Kelly is relentless in the pursuit of her songwriting journey and is already looking forward to releasing new English singles. Her project was made possible by the support of the Government of Canada (Musicaction), Canada Council for the arts, and Manitoba Film and Music.

Born in the Ivory Coast, Kelly’s songwriting captures the beauty of the languages and rhythms she has encountered on her journey from Abidjan to Winnipeg. Kelly's dedication to her francophone and African heritage is evident in her work, as she strives to keep these cultures and languages vibrant for future generations. Her talent has led her to perform alongside artists such as Alessia Cara, Serena Ryder, and Walk Off the Earth, and to open for five-time Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo.
