New Music Night is all about highlighting new local music and features three Manitoba Music members on the first Wednesday of each month. It's a great night for music fans to discover new local bands! It's an opportunity for up-and-coming artists and bands playing in ANY genre to try out new tunes and develop their live show.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

SYD BOMEK
Syd Bomek is a Canadian Singer-Songwriter born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her diverse sound captivates listeners with catchy and alternative pop melodies, but as a lyricist, she shapes real life scenerios into songs that cut straight to the core with her relatable lyrics. Syd desires to bring meaning and purpose to her music with the emotion and passion that she carries. But what makes Syd stand out, is the way she enhances the storyline of her songs, allowing her to share her most intimate memories in a unique way. Both singles "Walls" and "I'm Done" out on all streaming platforms now.

REYNALYNE GACILAN
Reynalyne Gacilan is a 24 year old authentic artist born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada. She has won many singing/talent competitions at a young age leading to a dream come true performing at Universal Studio’s in LA. Reynalyne Gacilan is a powerful raw vocalist and stands out for her versatility as a singer. She is currently working on an EP collaborating with different artists and it is coming out later this year and is excited to share her first music video coming out this month. Newest Single released April 9th: Acting Up.

JASON WILLOWS
Jason Willows is an active observer of his surroundings. Taking it all in, he meticulously crafts his observations into thoughtful prose, a fingerprint of his lyrics and musicality. Willows is a risk-taker, experimenting in the duality of jazz harmony and indie bedroom-pop sensibilities. His warm vocal tone, reminiscent of crooners, juxtaposes against thumping bass and distorted guitars. Willows has had a diverse career in the arts as an actor, teacher, multi-instrumentalist, and now producer. He started making waves in the jazz scene just after high school, performing & recording with Derrick Gardner and Ron Paley's Big Band. In 2017, he began writing original music with local art phenom, Chelsey Young, in the jazz/folk duo Two Hip. Since then they have performed in Canadian festivals (Winnipeg Jazz, Festival du Voyaguer, Winnipeg Folk) as well as several theatre productions (Life's Lyrics, Jesus Christ Superstar, It's A Wonderful Life). Willows has spent the last year producing his debut record, 'Waiting in the Mobius Room', from his home studio.
