A highly energized and emotional wreck on stage, Mauvey’s goal is to create and generate love, both on and off stage. Born in Ghana, West Africa, Mauvey grew up in the UK and Vancouver, Canada. An artist, performer and songwriter, Mauvey creates his own unique sound and style of alternative pop music, with reflective influences of Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Oumou Sangaré, Prince, and Labrinth.

Mooki

Born of Jamaican and Ghanaian heritage, Mooki [wit no E] is an up and coming artist from the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba. His music is unique, and alluring. rooting itself in a pure and unbriddled love for hip hop, while also lending from elements of soul, rnb, and dub.

IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE FROM THE WECC

Hi Everyone - 
Unfortunately, airline troubles are hitting Winterruption this weekend. Our pals Joe & The Shit Boys are stuck in Calgary and can’t get here for tonight’s show. So we’ve made a few changes to the schedule. 
Sgt. Papers is moving over to the Handsome Daughter to join the bill wth Mauvey & Mooki. Tickets to the show at the WECC will now get you into the show at the Handsome Daughter. That show starts at 9pm (doors at 8pm). 
If this doesn’t work for you, please contact the WECC at info@wecc.ca and we’ll provide you with a refund for your tickets.
