Finally!...after an illustrious , longtime career, Ilena is releasing a CD that some people have been waiting decades for! This event will be an evening of stories of Ilena's musical journey along with songs from the album.    Ross Porter , former CBC producer and host of the radio show, After Hours, said, "Songs are lucky to have Ilena sing them."

Ilena has a career spanning decades as a singer and actor. She sang with Ron Paley for 45 yrs., Graham Shaw and the Sincere Serenaders, Kilowatt, Tom Jackson, Dan Donahue, Heather Bishop, Dale Russel and numerous others, was the co-host of a TV show on Global with Ray St. Germain. As an actor she was in productions at MTC Warehouse in The Club and Side by Side With Sondheim with Richard Hearst, Tracy Dahl and Richard Ouzounian. She was in Danny Schur's production of Strike at Rainbow Stage and many other plays during her acting career starting at the age of 14 at John Hirsch's MTC acting school. She was a session singer in recording studios, singing back-up on people's albums, jingles, etc. She did voice-overs on commercials and sang a great deal for CBC radio and was on numerous TV shows on CBC, CKY and CKND. There's so much more. That's just the tip of the iceberg but you get the idea! Ilena sang on Graham Shaw's album that was recorded in L.A. He  was signed to Capitol Records in the U.S. and Canada. While there, she met Linda Ronstadt, some members of The Eagles, and Jackson Brown. One night some members of Fleetwood Mac showed up at the studio as well as Burton Cummings, who still lived there.   They also sang at The Juno Awards in Toronto.

At the event, she will be joined by numerous special guests, the main one being Dan Donahue who co-produced , played on the album on numerous tracks and was the engineer. Some others joining them will be Al Simmons, Laurie MacKenzie, Kiva Simova, Jennifer Hanson, Judy Cook, Rubin Kantorovich, Winston Wuttunee, Annis Kozub, Esther Juce, Bill Wallace, Leonard "Lewsh" Shaw, and others.
