Kevin Roy:

Working a day gig never made sense for Kevin Roy. Upon the release of the Winnipeg troubadour's 2014 debut, Taller Than The Trees, he left the stability of his high school teaching gig for a life on the road. Swapping in students wielding knives, saws and implements of destruction in the high school wood shop for more attentive audiences in North American festivals, bars and theatres, Roy hasn't looked back.

Now, he's released his latest collection, the Kickstarter-goal surpassing Heartworn Highways, to his country and roots rock-loving backers, and anyone else interested in pulling up a chair and listening to some genuine, good ol' storytelling songs. The album reached #1 on the National monthly !Earshot folk/roots/blues charts. The single, "The Mighty River", reached #10 most played on Stingray Music's Folk/Roots channel. Since the release, Kevin donates all proceeds from 'The Mighty River', a song about the hardships of flooding, to the Canadian Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.

They’ve been described as “that band from Almost Famous” and referred to as “the denim disasters”. Their harmonies will draw you in and their hilarious road stories will keep you wanting more. Whether they’re packing the dance floor with their band or performing an intimate duo concert, Thunder Bay folk-rockers Greenbank are always a wild ride!

With their rag-tag band in tow, songwriters Jimmy Breslin and Craig Smyth have been winning over audiences across the country with their unique brand of down-home, harmony infused, old school folk-rock since their start in 2012.
