Come see JUNO-nominated, country artist, Don Amero live in concert at Willowlake Church. This fundraising concert is in support of sending a team of young girls to Kenya in August to give their time at Camp Tumaini.

About Don:
Don Amero is turning over a new leaf and stepping into the country music genre with brand new material that he considers his strongest yet. An engaging storyteller, singer/songwriter and performer who has been touring, performing and speaking all across Canada for the last 10 years, the three-time JUNO nominee has earned the respect of the Canadian Music industry and has proven himself a much sought-after performer who is able to genuinely connect with his audience with an easy and effortless charm.

Don's five previous albums have generated ten national and international awards, as well as one JUNO nomination in 2013 and two in 2016. Now, with powerful vocals, a lovable stage presence, and a soulful sound that's been likened to an Ed Sheeran/Keith Urban mix, Don brings his own brand of percussion-style guitar play and delightful approachability to every event.

A true musical talent without the rock-star attitude, Don is an artist first. His approach to his craft is rewarded every day, with accolades like "that voice is amazing," "you've got a voice like silk," and "I'm blown away by your ability." Making beautiful music across five albums, Don impresses wherever he goes with his messages of encouragement, positivity, and beauty. His focus as an artist has been to create music that he hopes will be medicine for others and his "Music is Medicine" workshop has been presented across the country.

Raised in the notoriously tough north end of Winnipeg, Don faced his share of adversity growing up. Overcoming the poverty, gangs, drugs, and violence that surrounded him, Don's life was tempered by love and support that held him up enabling him to thrive beyond those struggles and pursue his passion for music.
